(May 26, 2008) It’s Goodbye Time Again The summer semester is here again at USM. The first summer session
collects all imminent retirees for one last boost to the retirement income. Most of those almost retirees who are
teaching are frequent names on the summer teaching roster, such as Mike Vest and Marvin Albin. Tony Henthorne
and Alvin Williams taught their last classes in the spring semester and are currently administrating their way into the
sunset. One unusual summer name is Stephen Bushardt.
STEVEN BUSHARDT, FORMER PROFESSOR OF
MANAGEMENT, CURRENT CHAIRMAN OF
MANAGEMENT, UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT TYLER
(August 1, 2008) CoB News, 1 August 2008 Bushardt Removed from Web Space CoB administrators wasted little time
removing former CoB management professor, Stephen Bushardt, from the USM website. Bushardt exited the CoB on
30-June-2008 for a post at Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama. His profile was deleted from the CoB's web pages
shortly thereafter. One source stated that CoB administrators likely wanted to begin the "post-Bushardt" era in the
CoB as soon as possible, and this desire reached any area that reflects Bushardt's presence in the CoB.
(January 12, 2010) GH Chatter There are strong indications, according to chatter, that former CoB management
professor Stephen Bushardt, now with Spring Hill College in Mobile, is gearing up to conclude his SHC duties after
2009-10 so that he can join former CoB dean Harold Doty at the University of Texas at Tyler, where Doty now serves
as b-school dean. This move, should it materialize, would not likely surprise many CoBers who knew both of these
former central CoB figures.
