(May 25, 2010) GH Chatter More evidence that former CoB management professor Stephen Bushardt is headed west to join former CoB dean Harold Doty at the University of Texas at Tyler – word is that Bushardt does not appear on the 2010-11 course schedules at Spring Hill College. It is mind boggling to many that Doty would move so early in his UT-T deanship to hire someone like Bushardt. To add to all that is known about Bushardt’s tenure at USM, in 2009-10 we learned that his wife filed a restraining order against him as part of their ongoing divorce proceedings. It seems she fears for her safety, and that of their children.

(June 2, 2010) GH Chatter Chatter has it that outgoing CoB economist Sami Dakhlia’s Canebrake home is up for sale at a cool $450,000. Dakhlia didn’t make the four year mark with USM, and he is leaving at $84,000 per year.
(June 9, 2010) . . . breaking news . . . (June 14, 2010) GH Chatter The pending arrival at the University of Texas at Tyler’s b-school of former CoBer Stephen Bushardt is back on the radar. Why current UT-Tyler b-school dean Harold Doty, the former CoB dean, would hire Bushardt is boggling minds.

(August 10, 2010) 31st & Pearl AACSB Express The recent news of Danny Arnold’s curious move from Missouri State to Stephen F. Austin State reminds some of his role in the CoB’s 2007 AACSB effort. That year Arnold visited the Hattiesburg and Gulf Coast campuses to assess the college’s business education products. The news also has us thinking about the next effort former CoB dean Harold Doty will make regarding AACSB accreditation.
