resemble that of the over]paid city leaders of Bell, California, sources are reporting that some of the CoB's middle
managers are banking salaries that exceed those of some of USM's college deans.

IHL Board member and Mississippi legislator from Meridian, penned an eye-opening editorial for The Hattiesburg
American on 29-Sept-2010. That editorial, which is inserted below, details recent enrollment trends and future funding
equations for Mississippi higher education. As you will see, it quite capably speaks for itself.

across Mississippi and beyond are navigating the college application process. Many potential USM applicants are likely
circumspect with regard to the $25 million in budget cuts that USM executives have effected since 2009, not to mention
the additional cut of $10 million to the institution’s FY 2013 budget that is being talked about around the state.

agreed to a plan put forth by the USM b-school economics faculty that would allow the unit, which had recently been
eliminated by the Saunders administration, to survive as a smaller group over in USM’s liberal arts college.
