(November 18, 2010) The Farm News Briefs from Southern Miss 18-Nov-2010 Salary Released for New USM
Legal Eagle At is Nov-2010 meeting, the Mississippi IHL approved a contract for USM’s new legal counsel Jon

long-time USM legal counsel, will depart in early 2011.
(March 28, 2011) Yet Again ANOTHER FORMER USM ADMINISTRATOR LOOKING ELSEWHERE The
breaking news report here at USMNEWS.net about former USM legal counsel Lee Gore’s recent interview with
Georgia Southern University raised some eyebrows. Some are likely amused by the sloppy application letter that
Gore put together (see below), while others are dumbfounded that another four-year institution could have
overlooked much of the former high-ranking USM official’s activities vis-à-vis the many scandals (the
Glamser-Stringer affair, Black Tuesday in the CoB, the forced retirements of five senior economics faculty, etc.) at
the institution he served since 1990.
(June 25, 2011) Dear usmnews.net, Just saw the announcement for Lee Gore’s retirement party. As a citizen and a
faculty member, I would like to know what Lee has been up to for the last several months. Has he done any work
for the office of the University Counsel since Martha announced that Jon Mark Weathers was taking over the job?
