(March 10, 2009) "Each Year . . ."? That's What Elizabeth LaFleur Said On 10-Mar-09 CoB-GC marketing professor Elizabeth LaFleur had an e-mail delivered to CoB faculty (inserted at the end of this report) stating: "Each year, the College of Business sponsors a public lecture on the Gulf Coast in collaboration with The Sun Herald. . . " The "Each year . . ." beginning came as a surprise to some CoB insiders, as it is not necessarily widely known (as with so many things involving USM's CoB) that "each year" such a lecture is sponsored by USM's b-school.

Picking up where my recent ranking of CoB faculty that CoB dean Lance Nail can’t afford to lose (Behind the 8) left off, this report ranks the top 12 current CoB faculty that dean Lance Nail can’t afford to have hang on for an extended period. That is, without these 12 CoB faculty, the CoB’s ranking amongst Gulf South business schools would certainly rise higher. Since this list is 50% longer than the last, let’s get right to it:

Current Max Draughn Distinguished Professor of Healthcare Marketing, Michael Wittmann, was pictured in it stating, in Thames-esque fashion, how much he loves being at USM.

(January 6, 2010) CoB News 6 January 2010 More Babinesse -- Recent reports and editorials here at USMNEWS.net have lauded the efforts of CoB marketing professor Elizabeth LaFleur in getting a paper published in the Journal of Marketing Education. LaFleur, whose research record is spotty at best, was joined on the paper by former CoB marketing professor Laurie Babin, who left the CoB in 2007 when her husband, Barry, took the marketing chairmanship at Louisiana Tech University.
