(June 15, 2010) Letters to USMNEWS.net, 6-15-2010 Dear usmnews, Thank you for running the article about Judson
Edwards becoming the new Dean at Troy. He will do a great job. The story reminded people, or maybe let them know,
how he was treated by Farhang Niroomand. [Harold] Doty and Niroomand said that the COB could not be reaccredited
if economic development remained in the college. Well, they got rid of Judson and the program and still did not
reaccredited. Meanwhile, Judson got a great big new job. This story teaches us that it was the presence of Doty and
Niroomand, not the ED program, that doomed the COB’s reaccreditation.

(July 12, 2010) CoB Website Gets Shake Up The CoB website has just recently undergone a transformation. The
primary goal of this shake up appears to have been the purging of the USM economists, who are not longer part of the
CoB. To do so, CoB administrators had “business economics” removed from the information systems group.
