(March 26, 2007) What happens to faculty who are desperate to become administrators?, part 4 In an email dated February 28, 2006, Dr. Stan Lewis wrote, “ACC is known as the 'block' as well as 'an accident waiting to happen.'Remember that in themid-80s USM did lose the separate accounting accreditation. The only university to ever lose it; how ironic if they lose it again. RP and HoDo couldn't motivate a desperate cat in a wet cardboard box. Both are in the admin. jobs only for what they can get out of it.

(April 2, 2007) What happens to faculty who are desperate to become administrators?, part 5 He knows AACSB is gone, even Rod has reached a breaking point in dealing with Harold [Doty], he knows Doty is leaving, his health has again declined, Lula has finally convienced him to stop playing "Jerry Morgan" and step down, Doty has forced him out over what constitutes AQ faculty in both ACC and MIS, even though I have yet to see anything that looks like a CoB statement on the topic but only hear HoDo [Harold Doty] say 3 in 5 years and thenread the standards that contridict that statement.
(April 3, 2007) Heroes and Storytellers In a recent usmnews.net report, readers were treated to some of Management Professor Stephen Bushardt’s views on rewards, specifically the Hero/Storyteller Culture. This columnist began thinking about exactly who the Heroes and Storytellers currently are in the CoB and who might be next. Remember that Heroes aren’t really heroes; they are simply the individuals who are the poster children for how the corrupt Bushardtian Establishment wants things done. As a word of note, there is a third category added – Hybrid – that denotes individuals who are used in different situations at different times. What follows is a best guess list for each category.
(April 15, 2007) Editorial Yesterday’s editorial observed that “Doty now shares the status of other failed administrators and hangers-on being paid a fortune. Lucas, Ginn, Thames, Henderson, Gunther, Doty, and the list goes on.” However, I omitted a key player from the list: Roderick Posey. What has Dr. Posey’s role in CoB administration been? He has held numerous positions in CoB administration, up to and including, Interim Dean. Most recently, he participated as Director of the School of Accounting and Information Systems, departing that job about six months before the most recent AACSB continuing review.
