Records ShowNow that the spring 2007 versions of CoB faculty SEDONA vitae are circulating within the CoB, more
and more "mysterious" entries are being uncovered and discussed. One of the latest concerns two refereed journal

associate professor of accounting (and former USM VP of Finance) James Henderson.
(June 8, 2007) Do CoB Administrators Count Cites? 2007 CoB Faculty Citations from Google Scholar Back for another
year, USMNEWS.NET reporters have put together an updated report on Google Scholar citations for CoB faculty who
will be employed in the CoB during the 2007-08 academic year. With exception of new faculty and the incorporation
of the new faculty units (for the first time), this table contains the same names as last yearfs, while it omits the central
administrators from last year (i.e., Harold Doty and Farhang Niroomand). In the near future, an update to this report
will replace Alvin Williams (Interim Dean) and Joseph Peyrefitte (Interim Associate Dean) with Doty and
Niroomand.
(June 12, 2007) One More Goes A Look at the Departure of Zaher Hallab The recent breaking news story about the
impending departure of associate professor of tourism management Zaher Hallab leaves many readers wondering
how the CoB can remain a viable entity heading into the 2007-08 academic year. With Hallab’s departure, we have
put together another update of the brain drain list that has been building since the CoB’s AACSB Peer Review Team
left Hattiesburg in February of 2007. In the last installment, we reported on the losses of Michael Madaris and
Stanley Lewis, instructor of finance and professor of MIS, respectively. With these departures, the number of
refereed journal articles that have left the CoB since Feb-07 rose to 101.
