Welcome to USMNEWS.NET.  USMNEWS.NET (previously known as usmpride.com) is opening our business college and university. It is available to all faculty, administrators, students, and citizens of our community. We pride ourselves on the documents and evidence that support our news. We also encourage different points of view in opinion reports. Your news and opinions are valued. Of paramount importance, we welcome corrections to our news reports. Brief Biography

The Institute of Management Accounting awarded Dr. Chauncey M. DePree, Jr. and Rebecca K. Jude, Esquire, the Certificate of Merit for their manuscript, 'Who's Reading Your Office E-mail? Is That Legal?' which was published in Strategic Finance, April 2006. Strategic Finance, formerly Management Accounting, is one of two leading national professional accounting journals. The other leading accounting periodical is the Journal of Accountancy. 'Who's Reading Your Office E-mail?' is Professor DePree's fifth publication in these two prestigious journals. A Management Accounting publication entitled 'Coping With Environmental And Tort Claims' also won Dr. DePree and Ms. Jude a Certificate of Merit from the Institute of Management Accounting. A publication entitled 'Earnings Management And The Abuse Of Materiality,' coauthored with C. Terry Grant and Gerry H. Grant, earned a Letter of Commendation from the editors of the Journal of Accountancy, which is published by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. This article is used by the AICPA in its continuing professional education program. Professor DePree's academic, education, and other professional publications include ABACUS, Journal of Accounting and Public Policy, Issues in Accounting Education, The CPA Journal, The CPCU Journal, The Professional Lawyer (ABA) and many others.
