EDWARD NISSAN,
FORMER PROFESSOR OF ECONOMICS
(April 21, 2010) Retirees What will the economist retirees do once they depart in June? Here are some thoughts: Ed
Nissan – surely England calls. England: that fortress that still allows tobacco in a lot of places. With family and friends
there, and nothing left here, it is time to go.
(May 19, 2010) GH Chatter Some interesting recent chatter about outgoing CoB economist William Gunther. It seems he
completely vacated his office during the last official week of class meetings. There is even some talk that he turned in
his office keys. Does this mean he blew off finals, or gave them early? Interesting stuff. In other ECO news, outgoing
professor Edward Nissan will be moving over to the CoAL this fall 2010 in a volunteer-type capacity. The word is that he
will have an office and some support, in return for volunteering in the international development and political science
area.
