(July 2, 2010) The CoB's Brain Drain, 2003-Present -- Part 3 An Illustrated History There is little argument with the
notion that the College of Business at USM has been severely diminished by the faculty flight that has occurred since
former CoB dean, Harold Doty, assumed the reins of management. Doty's tenure began in 2003, when he was hired
by former USM President, Shelby Thames, to lead the newly reorganized College of Business & Economic
Development. It ended in April of 2007, just after the CoB had received an ominous report from the AACSB
requiring a 6th Year Maintenance of Accreditation Review, when Doty and his associate dean, Farhang Niroomand,
"resigned" amidst suspicion and speculation.

Business.

journal publications of those former CoB faculty who departed for other academic environs after the 2002-03
academic year.
(August 3, 2010) Getting There SOME NEW(ISH) COB FACULTY GET PHOTOS ON WEB It may have taken years

takes place among the CoB’s management faculty. This effort includes the photos of Bret Becton, Brian Collins,
SherRhonda Gibbs, and Bruce Gilstrap. These relatively new faculty are shown below.
